The Reddy sisters, Yamini and Bhavna, presented a dance form called Adviteeyam in the city recently.
Adviteeyam is a dance form dedicated to Lord Shiva. This was the first time that the sisters performed together.
Bhavna, while speaking about her first performance with Yamini, said, “Yamini has natural elegance and power in her dance, while I have my own style. Though there are no clashes while performing, we are competitive in a healthy way.” Yamini added, “I have grown up seeing my father performing the Shiva dance.
He taught me the same when I was 17.”
While the hosts, Raja Reddy, Radha Reddy and Kaushalya Reddy were happy to put up a successful show, the audience was seen praising the duo. “I have seen them performing at a recent fashion week. They are so good.
Amar Singh, who was also spotted at the event, told us, “I am born and raised in Bengal and while moving out I got its culture with me here. Bengal is a land where you are judged by your cultural involvement with the Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Geeti and Sarod and Sitar. I am happy to experience such a spiritual performance by these talented performers.”
