JOIN US Shreyal Telang hardly broke a sweat as he defeated Shreyas Kulkarni to pocket the youth boys’ title in the CVL Sastry Memorial State Table Tennis Championship here on Sunday.
Shreyal, who saw off the challenge of a gritty Vedanth M Urs in the semifinal, was in blistering form as he recorded a 11-8, 11-5, 11-4, 11-4 win in the final.
Meanwhile in the girls section, Gayathri Tankasali rallied from a game down to clinch the title.
Losing the opening game 5-11, Gayathri showed no mercy as she got her act together soon, to race to a 5-11, 11-6, 11-9, 12-10, 6-11, 11-9 win over Kushi V in the summit clash.
