Member of Parliament Kalvakuntla Kavitha has assured the people of Bodhan Assembly constituency that they would get sufficient safe drinking water through the first-ever water grid project being underway in the State.
Addressing the Praja Darbar [open meeting] held at the local Government High School at Jaithapur in Yedapally mandal as part of her three day ‘Our Village Our MP’ programme on the second day on Saturday, she said she came to the village to ascertain their problems and implementation of schemes introduced by the Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
When the residents brought to her notice the issue of electric wires going over the residential houses and wanted her to direct the authorities to remove them, she promised to solve their problem within a week.
She also assured them of sanctioning physical education teacher and other teacher posts in the school.
Accompanied by MLA Mohammed Shakeel Amer, she went round the village while greeting the residents.
Rousing reception
She was given rousing reception by the people, including a large number of women amid drum beats.
Ms. Kavitha said that she would ensure the laying of new roads and construction of drainage in next few months.
Later she opened the newly built PHC sub-centre in the village.
She suggested the residents to grow different kinds of trees on the bunds formed under the Employment Guaranty Scheme works.
Thereafter, she also held the Praja Darbar at Kurnapally village in the mandal.
DCCB chairman Gangadhar Rao Patwari, TRS district president E. Ganga Reddy and senior leader R. Bhoopathi Reddy were also present.
