Raai Laxmi’s horror comedy 'Sowkarpettai' is similar to 'Kanchana'

Raai Laxmi and Sri Ram’s (actor Srikanth) upcoming horror film is releasing in Tamil as Sowkarpettai, in Telugu as Shiva Ganga and in Hindi as Tantra Sakthi.

Kumar Babu, the presenter of the Telugu version Shiva Ganga, said, “It is a trend running in both the Tamil and Telugu industries that horror films can pull audience legs to the theatres in recent years. Our Shiva Ganga is also made on the lines of Arundathi, Chandramukhi, Kanchana, Ganga, Chandrakala. Shiva Ganga is a horror action entertainer and is being made with a big budget and technical values. This film has all the commercial elements with some twists and turns. Actor Sri Ram plays a dual role in this film - he will be seen in the roles of Shiva and Shakthi. Raai Laxmi will attract the audience with her glamour and performance. This film has 37 minutes of graphics post interval which will be one of the highlights in the film. Currently, the film is in post-production and will release simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.”

The audio release of the film is on November 7. Raai Laxmi unfortunately is in hospital as she hurt herself during the shoot for Julie.

The film is directed by VC Vadivudaiyan and produced in Telugu by K Shivanath and Marreddy under Exella Creations banner.
