Concession in house tax: BJYM seeks extension of date

DEHRADUN:Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a protest at the Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC) office here today demanding extension of date for house tax concession till March 31, 2016.

Members of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) staged a protest at the Dehradun Municipal Corporation (DMC)  office here today demanding extension of date for  house tax concession till March 31, 2016. 

The BJYM  workers  met Mukhya Nagar Adhikari Nitin Bhadauria and said the last date for availing tax concession was November 15. They said it was not possible to complete a number of formalities till this date.

On the other hand, the slow working of the DMC was creating problems in completing the work on time. The protesters demanded a special concession for poor people. Vipin Rana, city president of the BJYM,  said, “The date given by the DMC is not sufficient. Most of us will not be able to get the benefit of concession. The date should be extended up to March 31, 2016.” 

Among those who participated in the protest were Pradeep Anand, Dharmendra Gupta, Bablu Kandpal, Gaurav Chauhan and Rishab Sharma.
