Balaji emerges champion

Balaji Vijayshankar triumphed in the Prix St George dressage event of the FEI World Dressage Challenge that concluded at the Embassy International Riding School (EIRS) here on Thursday.

 Astride Ricardo, Balaji, representing the T Marcotte club, took top honours in the top category while he placed second in the Advanced dressage category, missing out to Hriday Chheda of EIRS.

 In the juniors section, Tanisha Khataokar, astride Silvano and representing EIRS, bagged a double as she clinched the Preliminary and Elementary dressage events.

Results: Prix St George dressage: Balaji Vijayshankar (Ricardo, T Marcotte) 1; Hriday Chheda (Wesley, EIRS) 2.

Preliminary dressage (Juniors): Tanishka Khataokar (Silvano, EIRS) 1; Roshini Shankar (Autobahn, CEC) 2; Pranaya Pillai (Dazzling Gold) 3.

Preliminary dressage (Adults): R Arun (Haggler, RERS) 1; Kalivarthan (Iberica, RERS) 2; Rajvir (Makhan, ASC) 3.

Elementary dressage (Juniors): Tanishka Khataokar (Silvano, EIRS) 1; Pranaya Pillai (Autobahn, CEC) 2.

Elementary dressage (Adult): Vikas V (Campera, RERS) 1; R Arun (Hagler, RERS) 2; Kalivarthan (Iberica, RERS) 3.

Medium dressage: Vikas V (Cam­pera, RERS) 1; GS Shekhawat (Veeru, ASC) 2. Advanced dressage: Hriday Chheda (Wesley, EIRS) 1; Balaji Vijayshankar (Ricardo, T Marcotte) 2.
