Akola builder found murdered

Akola: Kishor Khatri (45), a property dealer and a builder in the city, was found murdered at Somthana Shivan on Tuesday evening.
According to cops, two bullet marks were found on the body while the throat was slit. It seems Khatri was shot from a close range, added cops.
Khatri was a partner in a big complex project coming up near erstwhile Chitra Cinema Hall in the heart of the city.
Ranjeet Singh Chungde, former Shiv Sena and MNS district chief is also a partner in the project.
Khatri’s family members alleged that Chungde is responsible for Khatri’s death as they had a dispute over property issues. The family also claimed Khatri was kidnapped in a car on Tuesday afternoon. Dog squad was pressed into service but did not find any trail.
The car belonging to Chungde has been seized and cops found blood stains on seat. His two sons have been taken into custody for investigation.
Man axed to death
In another incident, Vilas Gawande (42) of Kutasa village in Akola district was axed to death by four people in the wee hours of Tuesday, said police.
Manoj, Puran, Sanjay and Nandu of Bagde family have been taken into custody for interrogation. Police said old enmity was motive behind the murder.
