Power cuts on few platforms at 3 suburban stations
MUMBAI: Railway commuters were taken by surprise at around 7pm when they alighted at Bhandup station. Although it is not clear whether it had anything to do with the Mulund power outage, the station was plunged into darkness for a few minutes.
The power cuts were also witnessed on a few platforms at other stations including Thane and Dadar for few minutes, according to sources.
The power supply, however, returned within minutes and it did not affect the suburban train services, the sources added.
