Baahubali actor Anushka Shetty called 'hot jalebi' by Telugu comedian Ali
Anushka Shetty was at the receiving end of some really sexist comments during the audio success meet of her upcoming film Size Zero.
Had it been a politician or a popular lead actor making this comment, even 'in jest', they might have been torn apart by people by now. However, when it comes to people who make a living by cracking jokes - comedians - certain things are not paid much attention to, if not downright ignored.
The recent case in point is popular Telugu comedian Ali making a few sexist comments about Baahubali actor Anushka Shetty. At the audio launch of Anushka Shetty's upcoming film Size Zero, the comedian called the actor 'hot jalebi', say reports.

According to a report in The New Indian Express, Ali supposedly said that Anushka Shetty is a 'hot jalebi who everybody likes to eat'. And like that wasn't shocking enough already, the comedian went on to speak about - of all things - Shetty's thighs.
At the event, Ali compared Anushka Shetty's thighs to those of Bollywood actor Sonal Chauhan's, who is also playing a role in Size Zero. "You had asked the other girl (Sonal Chauhan) to slap her thighs. However, she has no thighs. Anushka has really remarkable thighs. Ever since I saw her in Billa, I became her fan," Ali has been quoted as saying at the launch.

As per reports, Ali has attracted much criticism in the past too, for his sexist remarks about female actors. In 2014, during the audio success meet of the Telugu film S/O Sathyamurthy, the comedian had made a few comments about actor Samantha's midriff. While the who's who of the Telugu film industry slammed Ali for the comments, Samantha dismissed the episode by saying that Ali had made the comments in a 'light vein'.
