Everton’s Besic named in Bosnia squad to play Ireland

Asmir Begovic, Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic all included in 28-man party

Bosnia and Herzegovina manager Mehmed Bazdarevic has named his squad for the forthcoming Euro 2016 play-off against Ireland.

Included in the 28-man party is Everton’s Muhamed Besic, despite the 23-year-old being suspended for the first leg of the tie in Zenica.

The Toffees central-midfielder still has one game to serve from a three-match ban he received after being sent off for throwing a piece of chewing gum at Andorra midfielder Victor Rodriguez Soria during qualification, but will be available for the return leg in Dublin.

Also in the squad to face Martin O’Neill’s men are Chelsea’s Asimr Begovic and Roma duo Edin Dzeko and Miralem Pjanic.
