Happy holidays: Free family portraits with Santa

It's a magical season and we want to share a little bit of extra magic with you! A little bit of free, extra holiday magic.

We know everyone loves getting a holiday card in the mail. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, knowing that someone is thinking of you this time of year.

Come take a glorious family photo with the big guy himself, Santa Claus, among a glowing holiday scene. The best part is, it's free!

Or maybe it makes you feel better about yourself after seeing how much cousin Martha let herself go ... Or maybe it's great diet motivation so you can gloat when all your relatives call and comment about how fantastic you look when they see your card!

We also know that as much as you like getting cards, it can be such a hard life choice to go do one yourself.

That requires getting the whole family together on the same day in one place and hoping everyone can play nice. It also usually requires wardrobe coordination and paying an exorbitant amount of money to a studio photographer to capture your magical moment in a picture that will last a lifetime.

We are here to help! At least with the money part.

Bring the whole family, bring Fido, wear your ugly Xmas sweaters or take an awkward family photo - the choice is completely up to you!

You'll go home with a one print and high-resolution digital photos to frame on your fireplace mantel, send out to the family as cards or make ornaments out of using those little plastic balls at craft stores. The options are limitless!

When: Saturday, Nov. 21 and Sunday, Nov. 22.

Where:The Arizona Republic, 200 E. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ 85004.

Time: Please go to tickets.azcental.com to RSVP and select a photo shoot time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on your preferred day.

Parking: Complimentary parking is available in the Republic Media garage, located at the corner of 2nd and Taylor streets in downtown Phoenix (1/2 block north of the Republic Media building, next to the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel.)
