AHMEDABAD: An eight-year-old boy, on his maiden visit to Ahmedabad with his father, had gone missing from a bus on October 14 morning. Hitesh Kalasva, a native of Banswada in Rajasthan, was found from Kadi by Vastrapur police. The father and son got reunited at Vastrapur police station on Sunday.
According to Vastrapur police, Dinesh - his father, a native of Tamatiya village, had been gone back in October and had brought the boy along.
He sat on the roof of a an RSRTC bus due to lack of space, whereas Hitesh sat inside. Hitesh could not be found when Dinesh got down at 4 am.
“Dinesh had mentioned that there were many natives of his village in the bus. We had started the search and stumbled upon a man who had informed his home that there was a missing boy with him and he would bring him. We tracked the man in Kadi and found the boy. The couple, involved in manual labour, had no intention of abducting the boy but as the boy’s relatives were not seen when they got down at Geeta Mandir, they decided to help him out,” said a Vastrapur police official.
