Narela incident: BJP demands high-level inquiry

The BJP on Wednesday demanded a high-level inquiry into the death of Rajan who was allegedly beaten to death by policemen in the Capital. Condemning the death of 17-year-old Rajan in Narela, Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta said that prima-facie the role of both police and hospital administration is questionable. “I demand high-level judicial inquiry into the matter… The Delhi Government must give adequate compensation to the family of deceased without any further delay,” he said during his visit to Rajan’s family.

Pension woes

Meanwhile, the Delhi BJP joined the protesting pensioners who have not been receiving their pensions from NDMC for a few months now. The demonstrators also burnt effigies of the CM and Ms Kumari.
