The yarding consisted of 3100 wether lambs, young ewes, breeding ewes and rams.

Landmark Beaton Agencies' Greg Beaton said he was pleased with how the sale went.

"The sale was good from start to finish, and was at least comparable to the northern sales," he said.

"There was a good spread of buyers, including regular bidders who buy the same sheep, year-in and year-out.

"Considering the season, the sheep were in really good condition."

The sale kicked off with wether lambs, with the first pen making the highest price.

GR&VJ Schrapel, Hamilton, sold 162 wether lambs, Lines Gum Hill-blood, for $87, to Elders Burra.

LR&JB Hampel & Sons, Kapunda, sold 190 wether lambs, September-shorn and Mernowie/Orrie Cowie-blood, for $86, also to Landmark Balaklava.

RA Dunstan, Julia, sold 204 wether lambs, August-shorn and Lines Gum Hill-blood, for $85, also to Landmark Balaklava.

PD Schulz, Kapunda, sold 121 wether lambs, September-shorn and Benefield-blood, for $85, to Elders Burra.

Making the top price for 1.5-yo ewes was GK,B&KJ Cottle, Balaklava, with 87 August- shorn and Bunyara-blood making $150 to Elders Roseworthy.

IG Williams, Kapunda, sold 104 1.5yo ewes, September- shorn and Lines Gum Hill-blood, for $148, to Elders Murray Bridge account Kluge.

EC Wilson sold 130 1.5yo ewes, September-shorn and Hilton Heath-blood, for $148, to Landmark Balaklava.

RG&KA Behn, Manoora, sold 68 1.5yo ewes, September-shorn and Ridgway-blood, for $128, to Landmark Mount Pleasant.

GR&VJ Schrapel sold 133 4.5yo ewes, August-shorn and Mernowie-blood, for $120, to Landmark Snowtown.

Topping the 5.5yo section was RA Dunstan, with 143 Lines Gum Hill-blood ewes making $101.

JE&HF Browne, Marrabel, sold 72 5.5yo ewes, September- shorn and Lucerne Park-blood, for $94, to Thomas Foods International.
