Bihar Elections Are Almost Over But When Will Modiji Answer Lalu Pasad Yadav's Challenge For An English Debate
India is not really a country for political debates.
As an audience, we are too used to the random ranting exercises organised in various newsrooms with party representatives which can rather be termed as 'schizophrenics anonymous' sessions than sane meaningful debates.
We all remember the time when then prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi challenged Manmohan Singh to a political debate on live tv; muchlike the presidential debates they are used to in US.
Needless to say MMS never uttered a word in reply and the debate never materialised.
But now the ongoing Bihar elections have given us an opportunity to see yet another challenge thrown open, which may be even more intriguing.
RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav has called out our wanderlust-struck PM Narendra Modi out; for an English debate.
If not in English he can have debate in Hindi also on all the burning issues but I'm afraid he avoids challenges https://t.co/Rug4vpUv8I

You read that right. You can take a moment to catch your breath or just go ROFL. But it's true. He put the challenge out on Twitter three days back.
For starters he even shared a YouTube video of his English speaking alongside:
We all know that Lalu is the ultimate source of wit and one liners and that our Prime Minister is a great orater. Also, neither of them deliver on their promises and keep jumping shops at whim.
So it will be an interesting match. I know what I would like on PPV next. It can be :
The Indian PM - the reluctant protector of the nation's cattle
vs
The RJD chief - the man who ate all 'the chara' and lived to boast over it.
Though he has also offered him a chance to switch the debate to Hindi, we are sure such a debate will never be able to meet the epic standards that are set by one in English.
So, looking forward to seeing the debate and May The Force Be With You!
Till then, here's an epic English speech by Rail Min Lalu!
