2 boys hospitalized after thrashed by Forest guard

MENDHAR, Oct 27: Two minor students of Govt Middle School Barja Mankote were hospitalised after they were allegedly beaten up by a Forest Guard in the school in presence of teachers today.
Reports said that both the boys Mohd Asif, son of Mohd Zubair and Mohd Tahir, son of Mohd Shamim ( students of class 8th), residents of Mankote were allegedly beaten up by Forest Guard Mohd Shabir over a petty issue. He entered the school during school time and severely beaten up the two boys. Later, parents and teachers had to shift these boys to hospital at Mendhar as their condition deteriorated.
SHO Mendhar, Anzar Mir said that written complaint of the parents of the children and teachers has been entertained and police has started investigation. He said that medical examination of the boys was conducted and police will record the statement of the teachers as well. Action under law will be taken against the accused person, he said.
