Gurgaon: Incomplete boundary wall worries Golf Course Road housing society
GURGAON: Residents of Exotica, a condominium on Golf Course Road in which 400 families live, say they don't feel secure as the boundary wall in the society is incomplete.
"The developer is supposed to hand over a completely constructed condominium with boundary walls. However, the developer started construction of other towers and put up makeshift barriers instead of a boundary wall.
Not just stray animals, people living in nearby areas and labourers working in other towers walk in anytime of the day," said a resident, who did not wish to be named.
This correspondent found there was no boundary wall near A and D blocks . A makeshift arrangement has been made with help of corrugated sheets. The residents said multiple complaints have been filed with the RWA.
Colonel Sobti, another resident, said, "Despite several complaints, the RWA has hardly done anything to take up the issue with the developer. It is an extremely important issue. Absence of boundary wall is a major security threat."
"Security at the entrance is good. But what is the point when there are other routes to enter the society. Many times, we see stray pigs entering the society," said Rohit, another resident.
RWA president Amit Bansal said, "It is a bigger issue. The developer couldn't complete construction of three towers in the last 10 years. So, a make-shift arrangement has been made to segregate the constructed and unfinished area. We have brought this to the notice of the developer several times." Rejecting the allegations of some residents, he said, "RWA is always an easy target for the residents. They don't know that we have been putting all the efforts to make it better."
The developers said incomplete boundary wall issue had never been taken up by the RWA. "To the best of my knowledge, we have never received any complaints on it. The RWA should have taken up the issue, as they had taken over the society a few years ago," said a representative of Parsavnath.
