PUNE: Kothrud MLA Medha Kulkarni on Friday said the service road from Chandani Chowk to Balewadi was incomplete because the cable and drainage lines were not shifted.
She also spoke on traffic issues and the need for underpasses in Pashan and Balewadi on Katraj-Dehu Road bypass.
A joint inspection from Bavdhan to Balewadi was conducted by Kulkarni and officials of
the National Highways Authority of India, along with the concessionaire company assigned to complete the six-laning work of the 140km stretch of the Pune-Satara highway.
Kulkarni said besides the cable and drainage lines, the service road could not be completed because of land acquisition problems.
Most problems on the highway, she said, were related to Pune Municipal Corporation and its delayed response. A joint meeting later this month between NHAI and PMC officials would sort out the issues, she added.
Project director of NHAI Prafulla Diwan said administrative support had been sought from the MLA to complete works hampered by encroachments.
