’60 Minutes’ Is a Top 5 Show

By Chris Ariens

Steve Kroft‘s contentious interview with President Obama–Kroft’s 10th one-on-one with Obama–made 60 Minutes a Top 5 show last week.

15.41 million people watched the show, giving it a 9.6 rating / 16 share in households and making it the third most-watched show on broadcast TV in viewers and No. 8 in the A25-54 demo. In addition to the 2-part Obama interview, Sunday’s show featured Bill Whitaker‘s story about a wrongfully convicted man who served 30 years on death row. The show got a lift from an NFL lead-in: the New England Patriots blowout of the Dallas Cowboys.
