With Abarth Punto yet to be launched, the price is expected to be somewhere under 10 lakh because the price of the other two cars is under that amount.

2. Volkswagen Polo GT TSI vs Ford Figo vs Abarth Punto Design: The Volkswagen Polo GT TSI has the typical looks which it carries forward from its previous generations. There are no rear disc brakes and it has the normal silver alloy wheels. The GT badging is present all around the car. Except for GT badge, the Polo has nothing new on offer in looks and design and you need to have the car enthusiast eye to actually notice the GT badge.

The new Ford Figo, on the other hand, comes with Aston Martin styled front grille giving you the feel of driving a supercar at the price of a hatchback. The colours of new Figo are mostly taken from the to be launched in IndiaFord Mustang.

Appearance wise, the Abarth Punto EVO has signature insignias on the bonnet and the rear end. The car has a sporty appearance, it has scorpion pincer alloy wheels which give the vehicle a mean look and the dual black and red paint add to the sportiness of the vehicle. The red colour is present in the ORVMs too. The front grille has a red accent and the front and rear bumpers get the red colour garnishing as well. Disc brakes are present in all four wheels.

3. Volkswagen Polo GT TSI vs Ford Figo vs Abarth Punto Engine: The Polo GT comes with a 1.2 litre TSI petrol engine with a power output of 105bhp and max torque of 175Nm. It comes mated to a seven-speed DSG automatic transmission along with cruise control first in any hatchback. This German hatch sprint from 0-100kmph in 9.7 seconds of time. Out of the three, Abarth Punto has the best power output and Figo has the best in class fuel efficiency.

Figo has a 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine which generates a power of 111bhp lesser than that of Punto and a torque of 136Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The car goes from 0-100kmph in around 11 seconds.

Under the hood, Abarth Punto EVO has a 1.4 litre T-Jet Turbo petrol engine which produces the power output of 145bhp and peak torque of 212Nm. It comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car goes from 0-100kmph in under 9 seconds and has the fastest pickup of speed out of the three. To match the speed, Punto has a stiffer suspension to keep the car stable during high speeds.

4. Volkswagen Polo GT TSI vs Ford Figo vs Abarth Punto Safety: Polo GT has dual front airbags as a standard feature and other safety options including rear parking sensors, anti-lock braking system, electronic stabilitisation program and hill hold function.

Considering the safety of its passengers, Figo has dual airbags as a standard feature across all the variants.

Safety features in the Abarth are yet to be revealed by Fiat.
