HSM Offshore Handles A18 Satellite Platform
Last September HSM Offshore in Schiedam (Netherlands) completed the detailed engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, load-out, transport, installation and hook-up of the A18 satellite offshore platform for Petrobras Transportation BV. The jacket (which measures 23x26x60 metres and weighs 1,250 tonnes) and the topside (35x25x20 metres and 950 tonnes) consist of three decks, a helideck and an accommodation area for eight persons. The platform will be installed in the northern section of the Dutch North Sea, circa 300 kilometres north of Den Helder, in a 44-metre water depth. The gas will be exported via a pipeline connection to the nearby A12 production platform.
