Watch Ronda Rousey Threaten Ken Jeong for Spoiling ‘Game of Thrones’
Ronda Rousey can’t stop, won’t stop.
Days after becoming the first female to grace the cover of Men’s Fitness in Australia and challenging Jimmy Fallon to a Mario Kart rematch, Rousey continued her media blitz on Wednesday, stepping up as the first female guest-anchor on SportsCenter. While Lindsay Czarniak did most of the heavy lifting during the hour-long segment, Rousey managed to threaten Ken Jeong after he spoiled Game of Thrones for her, advise Kobe Bryant that it’s time to hang up his sneakers for good and poke fun at the World Series hopeful Cubs, who may or may not be cursed anymore.
“I was wondering,” she asked Chicago’s own Mike Wilbon. “What’s more impossible: me losing a fight or the Cubs ever winning the World Series?”
So, yeah, it was a rather successful outing for UFC‘s Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
Because she’s so good at forcing people into submission by threatening to rip their arm off, Rousey was also asked to break down her infamous armbar while on set (as she’s previously done on The Tonight Show and Ellen). This time, though, in a segment that probably seemed funnier when a producer first jotted it down, she acted as Czarniak’s mentor – performing MMA moves while wearing a dress apparently isn’t wise – and convinced a thoroughly confused Tim Kurkjian to never set foot in an Octagon.
To the best of our knowledge, Rousey failed to mention Floyd Mayweather during her time as co-anchor (which has got to be a record or something), but Cosmopolitan posted a video of her earlier in the day explaining why she’s no longer a Belieber after Justin Bieber snubber her sister at the Cannes Film Festival. Seeing as Mayweather and Bieber are practically inseparable at this point, we’ll just assume that means Rousey hates Mayweather, too.
