The management of former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr has hinted that they denied the request of Prime Minister David Cameron for free tickets at Marr's recent gig at Manchester's Albert Hall.
"Just had a request for Johnny Marr guest list for a HIGH profile person who's working in Manchester this week!!! #declined," Marr's representation wrote on Twitter.
The Conservative Party Conference was happening in Manchester at the same time as Marr's gigs.
Marr's latest solo effort, Adrenalin Baby, distributed by Warner Bros., lands on October 9.
"I wanted to capture the atmosphere and feeling of the last couple of tours," Marr says of the set.
"It's been a special time and the album is a document for fans who were there, and for people who haven't seen me and might want to check out what the shows are about. I like live records when they're a good listen. It's turned out really well."
