Xiaomi Mi5 Pricing Details Surface – Flagship Specifications At Pocket Easy Cost?

Heralded at a time as China's 'Apple', Xiaomi managed to gain quite a following after the launch of the Mi4, and with subsequent product launches and business plans, the company seemed quite eager to take on the smartphone world. While we've seen quite a few devices from Xiaomi this year, the company has been strangely silent in the flagship smartphone segment, choosing to launch phablets instead. The Mi4 was launched way back into July last year, making it nearly 15 months since a flagship upgrade from the Chinese starlet.

The Xiaomi Mi5 Tipped To Follow Mi4's Pricing Strategy - No Word On Launch Date

While there's been plenty going around about the Xiaomi Mi5 and its expected specifications and features, there's been little news about the device's launch date. Xiaomi is after all a relatively new company in the smartphone world, so its hard to predict the company's launch schedule when compared to giants such as Samsung and Apple. Nevertheless, many expected the Mi5 to come by November at the very least, but Xiaomi just might be caught in a bit of confusion regarding the device's chipset.

After all, launching the Mi5 with the Snapdragon 810 on board would give the device a laughably short live, but launching it with the Snapdragon 820 would make nearly two years since the last Mi flagship smartphone. However, things do seem to be heating up in the Mi5's department, with some fresh information providing some alleged details about the device's price. When it comes to pricing, the Xiaomi Mi5 will be similarly priced as the Mi4, with the device allegedly expected toset you back about $320.

Should the Xiaomi Mi5 be looking towards flagship worthy specifications, and come with today's price tag, the Chinese company just might have yet another winner on its hands. The Xiaomi Mi5 has been rumored to come with both the Snapdragon 820 and the 810, but we'd expect it to skip on the latter, as mentioned above. This is expected to be coupled with 4GB of RAM and a 5.2 inch FHD display, which should give the device's battery some breathing room.

Its also expected to be available in two storage options of 16 and 64 GB, with a 16MP rear shooter and a 3000mAh battery pack. But nothing can really be said for sure unless Xiaomi provides any more details about the Mi5, or some new information surfaces in the perpetual rumor mill regarding the device. We'll have to do with the device's price for now. Stay tuned and let us know what you think in the comments section below. We'll keep you updated.
