About "SuperSoul Sunday" - Malala Yousafzai

Oprah sits down with the youngest ever Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai to discuss her mission to educate girls across the world, her spirituality and how she has thrived following the Taliban's attempt on her life. Her story is renowned all over the world; in October, 2012, at 15-years-old, she was shot point blank in the head by the Taliban because she spoke out on behalf of girls seeking an education. Today, she is the co-founder of The Malala Fund, which seeks to advocate and provide education to more than 60 million girls globally who are denied an education due to poverty, violence or tradition. Also joining the conversation, Malala's father Ziauddin, whom she calls her great influence. An activist and education advocate himself, Malala has taken the values she's learned from her father and evolved it into a global movement. Plus, her critically acclaimed documentary, "He Named Me Malala," portrays an intimate portrait of the girl behind the legend.
