Rock On 2 in Shillong: Farhan-Shraddha's next goes on floors

Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani have reached the breathtaking locales of Shillong to begin the shooting of their upcoming film Rock On 2. A sequel to the 2008 rock-musical film, Rock On 2 will see Farhan, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli reprising their roles.

Farhan strung his guitar for the first scene of Rock On 2. The actor performed with Summersalt, a Shillong-based band known for its tribal songs. "The band has already composed a number for Rock On 2, a trans fusion track which is a mix of traditional Khasi music, rock, acoustic style, with a pinch of jazz-funk," adds a source.

Producer Ritesh shared a picture of a clapboard from the film sets.

While Farhan has already set his foot in Shillong, Shraddha Kapoor, the new addition to the star cast, is yet to join the cast and crew of the film. The Ek Tha Villain actor will essay the role of a singer in the film and she even underwent a training in rock genre to fit into the shoes of her character in the film.

It is for the first time that Shraddha and Farhan will share the screen space. And it has already been confirmed that the Haider actor will not play Farhan's love interest in the film. If reports are to be believed, Prachi Desai, who played Farhan's wife in Rock On, will reprise her character in the sequel too.

Buzz has it that cast and crew will shoot for Rock On 2 for the next two months in Shillong. Directed by Shujaat Saudagar, the film will hit the screens some time next year.
