Bajirao Mastani has to be one of the most awaited films of 2015. Latest buzz surrounding Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus is that Bhansali has recreated Madhubala’s “Pyaar kiya toh darna kya” magic in the film. Deepika Padukone’s character has been used to create a beautiful ode to ageless beauty Madhubala.

Deepika has already shot this beautiful song "Deewani Mastaani" in a specially constructed Aaina Mahal. Choreographed by Remo D’Souza, a source mentioned,

"Under the supervision of choreographer Remo D’Souza Deepika danced like a dream. This number will do to her what Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya did to Madhubala. And yes, Sanjay Bhansali has shot images if Deepika reflected in scores of her reflection in mirror images in his ‘Aaina Mahal’, just like K Asif had shot Madhubala in ‘Sheesh Mahal. The Pyar Kiya Toh Darna Kya number in Mughal-e-Azam was designed to showcase Madhubala’s beauty in all its glory. Director K Asif had shot the song in a spectacularly constructed ‘Sheesh Mahal’ set. Sanjay Bhansali has designed his song on his ‘Aaina Mahal’ set as a tribute to K Asif, Mughal-e-Azam and Deepika."

Guess who has given voice to the song? Melody queen Shreya Ghoshal. After giving Shreya a well-deserved big break through his film Devdas, Shreya definitely seem to be Bhansali’s lucky mascot! Earlier, Madhuri Dixit's "Maar Daala" from Devdas did manage to win hearts of the audience. Whether Deepika will be able to successfully recreate Madhubala's magic on the big screen, only time will tell! Bajirao Mastani is all set to release on 18th December 2015.
