Nick Diaz was suspended from UFC for five years by the Nevada State Athletic Commission after testing positive for marijuana in January, a shocking decision that effectively ended the career of the 32-year-old fighter.

Early Monday morning, Diaz found an unlikely supporter when Cher tweeted out a link to a petition to lift the NSAC’s ban on Diaz.

Why did Cher decide to support this petition? Unclear. Cher tweets out a lot of stuff. She’s an awesome person to follow, actually. Go do that.
