Jan Murre, Murre Techniek:

"New slicer has multitude of capabilities"

During the AGF Detail in Houten, the Netherlands Murre Techniek debuted as an exhibitor. The Zeeland machine manufacturer brought a slicer along that fit perfectly into the retailers slicing kitchen, "This universal machine can be used to cut many kinds of fruits and vegetables, such as apples, pears, kiwis, oranges, tomatoes, cucumbers, potatoes, zucchini, carrots and mushrooms," says Jan Murre. "We also cut meatballs with the new slicer."

"This is the first time we have presented the PND machine to the general public, but we have already sold and set up several of the machines in the Netherlands and Belgium. Many companies are purchasing the machine due to its versatility. In addition to the multitude of products that this machine can cut, the knives can also be changed very quickly, which allows the machine to cut the products into different shapes, such as wedges, slices, sticks or disks," summarizes Jan.

The slicer can make approximately sixty cuts per minute. The machine can also remove the pit from mangoes. The mango is cut in half and the pit is released from the two halves of the mango. The machine can remove the pits of up to sixty mangoes per minute.
