Halo 5: Guardians won't end up with the launch issues of last year's Halo: The Master Chief Collection, according to developer 343 Industries. The studio has a lot of different tests set up to ensure that the new title runs as expected, and during the launch period, there will be plenty of staff members to oversee the current situation of the game.

The Halo series has already made its debut on the Xbox One console via last year's Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The special saga brought together the main installments of the franchise and remastered theme for the new Microsoft console. Unfortunately, its multiplayer modes were plagued by many different problems. After a myriad of updates and months of testing, things worked as intended but fans have yet to forgive 343 Industries for the poor experience.

With the upcoming Halo 5, the studio, alongside publisher Microsoft, has emphasized several times that they've learned from the issues that plagued The Master Chief Collection and that the new first-person shooter won't repeat those mistakes.

Lots of tests and a big team ensure that Halo 5 won't have major issues

Now, 343 Industries Multiplayer Design Director Kevin Franklin tells GamesOnNet just how the studio is trying to ensure that Guardians won't end up disappointing fans.

He confirms that there are weekly and even daily tests run on the latest versions of the game, as well as on its intended multiplayer servers. What's more, for the upcoming launch that takes place at the end of the month, 343 has already set up a hefty team that will oversee the statistics from the game and spot any potential problems, so that they can be fixed as soon as possible.

"We’re running all sorts of really big internal stress tests on a weekly and even daily basis at 343 to prepare for launch. And in addition to that, a lot of people are going to be around on deck supporting the launch efforts and keeping an eye on our metrics - player success rates of getting into a game, we’ll be watching that very closely. I really am confident we’re going to have a positive launch and don’t want a repeat of any of the issues of the Master Chief Collection," he explains.

Halo 5: Guardians arrives on October 27 exclusively for the Xbox One and is geared towards multiplayer. The story campaign can be experienced cooperatively by up to four players and there's not only the classic Arena competitive game type but also the Warzone one that combines Player versus Player with Player versus Environment.
