We were in for a surprise (rather shock) on Monday morning when we stumbled upon Salman Rushdie's revelation that The Satanic Verses author isn't only into 'serious' stuff.

Last week, when CBC asked him to read out some of Drake's most popular verses from tracks such as Know Yourself, 6 God, 6PM in New York and What's My Name?, Rushdie happily obliged.

The Booker Prize winner also revealed he quite like Drakes songs. From the lyrics of Know Yourself, Rushdie said he quite likes the line: "Pray the real live forever man, pray the fakes get exposed."

After reciting What's My Name?, he said, "I think it's kind of great that he quotes Marilyn Monroe--when she posed in the nude and was asked if she had nothing on and she said 'I had the radio on'." Also read: Drake and Serena Williams dating?
