Gionee has sent out media invites for its product launch on October 8 in New Delhi which hints at Elife E8 launch. The flagship smartphone was announced in China back in June. Like several other manufacturers, Gionee could make Elife E8 available exclusively from its online store.
The Gionee Elife E8 features a 6-inch WQHD Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels which translates to nearly 490ppi. Notably Samsung uses Super AMOLED panel on its flagship Galaxy smartphone. The device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795 processor paired with PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. Like Elife E7, the biggest USP of the device is its camera. The primary camera of the handset is a 24-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilisation and true-tone flash. There is a 8MP camera at the front for those obsessed with selfies.
The smartphone is loaded with Amigo 3.1 UI based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The dual-Sim smartphone is backed by a 3,500mAh battery and will be compatible with 4G LTE bands in India.
Gionee had recently announced its partnership with Dixon and Foxconn to start manufacturing in India.
