PDP Chieftains, Paulinus Akpeki Decamp To APC In Delta

There was wailing and gnashing of the teeth in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State on Saturday October 3, as a former foundation member and Stalwart of the party, Chief Paulinus Akpeki and his team decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Delta APC Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue told newsmen that Chief Akpeki is a super brand politician, well grounded in grassroots politics who have been in the political terrain of the state for several decades.

Also speaking, Chief Ayiri Emami posited that APC Delta will do the needful to ensure that the PDP is showed the exit root from the government house Asaba within the shortest possible time especially now that the wind of Change is sweeping across the state like a hurricane. He further asserted that the party will restore peace and progress to the state and Nigeria.

Cyril Ogodo and Olorogun Jaro Egbo added their voice and said that Akpeki political structure joining the APC Delta family can best be described as a political TSUNAMI in motion to wreck the already shattered umbrella of the PDP in the state. The duo said the little that is left of the PDP will soon be ravaged by the forces of the progressives so as to remodel the socioeconomic fortunes of the state.

Olorogun Otega Emerhor in a statement by his Director of Political Communication, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said the days of PDP in Delta State are numbered, adding that the new mega political forces of the APC Delta will of a necessity re-write the political history of the state.

The April 11 governorship candidate of the party asserted that PDP is now gasping for breath even though the election tribunal is yet to give its verdict in a petition seeking annulment of the election results cooked in fraud and glaring electoral malpractices by PDP in collaboration with some compromised staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Chief Akpeki is a well known political Juggernaut who served in various capacities in the State. We are indeed very happy to receive him and his huge supporters to the Delta APC family. We sincerely look forward to receive more decampees as a prelude to a mega rally in the near future, the statement added.
