LONDON, Ont. -- Police in London, Ont., are looking for a man and a dog after a woman was bitten on the chin.

Police say a 49-year-old woman was walking (on Oxford Street west of Cherryhill Boulevard) on Saturday afternoon when a man with a leashed dog approached from the opposite direction.

Investigators say as the man and dog passed the woman, the dog lunged at her and bit her on the chin.

Police say the man and dog continued on without any conversation with the woman, who was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The man is described as white, in his 20s, five-foot-five, with a slim build, blonde short hair and was carrying a guitar.

The dog is described as a muscular "pitbull" with a solid reddish-brown colour and police want the owner to come forward with the animal's vaccination records.
