Three more farmers commit suicide in T districts

Yet another farmer committed suicide by consuming pesticide due to unbearable debt burden.

According to sub-inspector Rajashekar, one Balwanth Reddy (29), a graduate from Madikattu village under Chevella Police Station limits in Rangareddy district, was doing agriculture. Balwanth Reddy was found missing from Saturday evening and his relatives and friends searched for him in vain. The family members found Balwanth Reddy hanging to a tree at his agriculture field. The parents lodged a complaint with the police, who rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Chevella government hospital for post mortem.

 

In another incident, another farmer Bheemaiah from Appireddyguda under Shabad mandal in Rangareddy district, committed suicide in his fields on Saturday night. Bheemaiah went to his fields taking his cattle. In the evening, the cattle returned home without Bheemaiah. The anxious family members searched for Bheemaiah but in vain. On Sunday morning, they found Bheemaiah’s body in the fields.

In Warangal district, a cotton farmer Chelpuri Rajaiah of Seetharampur village under Athmakur mandal committed suicide on Sunday. He consumed pesticide as he failed to find a way to clear his debts. (NSS)
