Alia Bhatt's spunk and Shahid Kapoor's zing are what being liked the most about their upcoming film "Shaandaar".

Also, their infectious chemistry has now become a talking point and a conversation starter. Interestingly, the makers had some other leading lady in mind. Deepika Padukone pondered over Vikas Bahl's offer and eventually said no.

"Apparently, Vikas approached Dippy, but the actress could not do the film. It would have been a fresh casting and Shahid too was keen to work with Deepika. Vikas waited for a long time for Deepika, but she finally said no," Bollywood Life quoted a source as saying.

While there is no way to confirm this piece of news, Shahid-Alia's pairing is just as fresh as daisy. Together they look like a happy bunch and their presence gives a positive vibe.

The young onscreen pair recently shot an episode on Kapil Sharma's TV show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" and the social media is going crazy about their rapport. While Alia shared a fun photo from the show, Shahid has promised a lot of fun to his fans.

Slated for a 22 October release, the rom-com features Pankaj Kapur, his another son Sanah Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor in key roles.
