Move over Pete Rose, you have company in the Cincinnati Reds' record books.

In the top of the third inning in Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates Joey Votto hit an infield single to third base making it the 48th consecutive game Votto has reached base safely, tying a franchise record set by Pete Rose in 1978.

Votto's streak is already the longest in the Major Leagues since Kevin Millar's streak of 52 games in 2007. Tomorrow, Votto will try to break the team record at 49 consecutive games.
