Ex-England, Surrey and Hampshire cricketer Chris Tremlett, who recently retired from the sport because of injury, has joined Berkshire-based agency The Home Cloud.
The Home Cloud was launched in May by Tom Jewell, a cricketing colleague of Tremlett at Surrey, and says its sales and lettings inventory and business have exceeded expectations.
It specialises in sales and lettings in Berkshire, Surrey and North Hampshire and carries a mission statement to clients including the claims: "We don't hide our fees or complicate them. We don't charge a premium to pay for a fancy high street shop. We don't hit you with sneaky extras or tie you in to long contracts"
Tremlett - who took 53 wickets for England in 12 test matches between 2007 and 2012 as well as a veteran of 15 one-day internationals and one Twenty20 match - will have responsibility for finding properties for investors as well as managing sales and lettings at the London-end of the agency.
"I'm looking forward to applying the same focus and determination that enabled me to achieve my England ambitions to my new career" says Tremlett, 34.
Jewell has in the past worked for two major Australian estate agencies, for London property law company Pemberton Greenish, and for London agency group Thamesview.

A bit leftfield, but an interesting appointment nonetheless. A good way of creating free PR, too, if you have a famous name on the books.

Yes, a key reason why we beat the Aussies on their own patch four or so years ago. Never really pushed on from there. He was always in an out of the team because of injury - not surprising, given how fast he bowled and the battering he gave to his knees and legs every time he ran in full speed ahead.
Still, an interesting change of career path. Makes a change from punditry, coaching or appearing on Strictly, I suppose! Good luck to him.
