The opening weekend saw one of the best box office records for a debutant’s film.
The numbers clearly indicated the star power of Indian television’s funniest man Kapil Sharma. Ratan Jain says, “Kapil is loved across age groups and people like to see him entertain them in his unique style. Over the last two years, his equity has risen to an all-time high.” The producer is ecstatic that his banner, his directors Abbas-Mustan and the film itself has brought families to the theatres in big numbers. He adds, “Going forward, our banner will regularly make movies across genres with only one key word — ENTERTAINMENT.”
