Rest in peace: Arbab Ayub buried in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: After former provincial minister and Awami National Party senior leader Arbab Ayub Jan was laid to rest on Monday, the party announced a three-day mourning period across the province. All activities in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will remain closed for three days, said ANP provincial spokesperson Haroon Bashir Bilour. “The party has lost an experienced and honest member.”  The deceased was laid to rest in his ancestral village in Peshawar on Monday after his body arrived in Lahore from the United States, where he died of a cardiac arrest on September 22. The funeral prayers were attended by a large number of people, including ANP central president Asfandyar Wali Khan, MNA Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, MNA Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and Qaumi Watan Party chief Aftab Ahmad Sherpao.
