Last week H&M teased its latest campaign, featuring international hair god and soccer star David Beckham and world's sexiest comedian Kevin Hart. Today the brand released the full-length version, in which the two wear Beckham's selects from the new H&M Modern Essentials collection. In the film Kevin Hart, up for the part of David Beckham in the biopic "I, Beckham," the movie, shadows the soccer star for weeks of method-acting preparation.
The film is both very funny and a work of marketing genius. Both stars commit fully to a perfectly ridiculous premise, which gets funnier as the film goes on. The athlete and comedian wear matching outfits, take matching ice baths, and use the same toothbrush. At one point Hart tries to cover up his joy ride in Beckham's car by saying he spent the day using Beckham's hair gel. In every scene, Beckham and Hart wear the exact same outfit—head to toe. Watching these two men of starkly different sizes pull off each ensemble with the same ease and understated swagger makes us impatient to try on every single piece. In fact, we're so convinced of the looks-great-on-everyone nature of the stuff, we might go ahead and place an order without even trying it on.
