Is Namagaagi based on Radhika Kumaraswamy’s life?

Industry insiders have lately been speculating about whether the Vijay Raghavendra-Radhika Kumaraswamy-starrer Namagaagi is based on the latter’s life. This film, which sees the lead pair unite after the decade-old teen drama Nimagaagi, deals with the life of a married couple. This premise, as well as some scenes in the film, has led many to wonder if the film is indeed connected to Radhika’s personal life.When we spoke to director Raghuram DP, he neither confirmed nor denied the developments. In a cryptic manner, he told us, “Radhika does consider this film very close to her and connects with it on a personal level as well. She teared up when she first heard the script and instantly said yes because she connected with it. I would just like to say that people will have their answer to the question of any similarities to Radhika’s life when they watch the film.”
