Gujarat CM visits Kumbh Mela, takes holy dip in Godavari

Union Minister Hansraj Ahir, and Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel today took a holy dip in river Godavari here during the ongoing Kumbh Mela.
Gujarat’s Minister for Higher Education Vasuben Trivedi also took the holy dip, an official release said.
Ahir is the Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers.
Local BJP MLA Devyani Pharande and other party leaders accompanied them.
Patel will visit the holy town of Trimbakeshwar tomorrow, it said.
Kumbh Mela – the largest congregation of Hindu devotees – comes after every 12 years and is being held at four places in the country – Nashik/Trimbakeshwar (Maharashtra), Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh), Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) and Haridwar (Uttarakhand).
