PALANPUR: 'Ladoo' is the most common sweet offered as prasad to god and godesses across the country. But the one that will be offered at the Ambaji temple on Friday is being claimed to be the world's largest 'ladoo' weighing at a whooping 11,111kg.
The weight of the 'bundi ladoo' made from mixture of chick pea flour, ghee and sugar, equals the weight of two adult elephants and four Rolls Royce Phantom cars.

The administrator of the Arasuri Ambaji Mata Dvesthana Trust, Ambaji, Ghanshyam Brambhatt, said that the ladoo was 16 feet tall and has a radius of 14 feet. "It took nearly 33 hours to prepare the ladoo which will be distributed as prasad to over 3 lakh devotees visiting the temple on Friday," Brambhatt said.
He said that they have also applied for the 'ladoo' to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records. "We aim to create a new world record by preparing world's biggest ladoo.
The ingredients used to make the ladoo include 2,600kg ghee, 2,650kg besan (chick pea flour) and 5,500kg sugar. Total cost of preparing the ladoo was approximately Rs 17 lakh.
