9 lankans on way to Oz held at Munambam

All of them belong to Sri Lankan refugee camps in Pollachi, Ramanathapuram, Erode and Chennai in Tamil Nadu
Kochi: The police has thwarted an attempt by a group of Sri Lankan nationals to make their way to Australia in a fishing vessel from Munambam fishing harbour near Kochi.
The police arrested nine Lankan nationals and four others suspected to be agents of human trafficking in connection with the incident in a late-night operation on Wednesday.
The arrested have been identified as Sudhershan 32, Belraj 32, Navaneethal 32, Roopan 20, Sivaroop 21, Manoj 30, Nageswaram 32, Devaprasd and Parthipan.
All of them belong to Sri Lankan refugee camps in Pollachi, Ramanathapuram, Erode and Chennai in Tamil Nadu. According to the police the four agents brought them to Munambam for transporting them to Australia.
