Suspects allegedly killed man over monetary dispute in 2012
PESHAWAR: The court of an additional sessions judge (ASJ) rejected the bail applications of four suspects arrested for killing a person and injuring another. The accused are said to have opened fire in Shaheen Bazaar in 2012.
The complainant’s counsel Muhammad Saeed Khan told the court of ASJ Aurangzeb Khan the four accused, Abbas Khan, Ahsan, Sani and Asif, residents of Shaheen Bazaar, had a monetary dispute with Haji Yaqoob.
Saeed said on February 8, 2012, Yaqoob, along with Mir Alam, was going in a vehicle when the four suspects in the case spotted them in Shaheen Bazaar. The suspects were equipped with AK-47s and opened fire on Yaqoob and Alam, the counsel said.

Yaqoob died in the firing while Alam was critically injured, Saheed informed the court. The suspects fled from the scene, however, they were caught after investigation following the FIR lodged by the victim’s family.
The police charged the four accused under various sections of Pakistan Penal Code. They are currently held in custody in Central Prison Peshawar and “do not deserve to be released on bail,” Saeed told the court.
The court upon hearing the arguments rejected the bail applications of the four suspects.
