These doubly-cute pictures show the unique and special bond between twins .

Just days before the snaps were taken, the newborn twins were positioned next to each other in their mother's womb.

But they were so still so well bonded that they could be posed together in perfect synchronisation.

Photographer Sandi Ford, 37, took the images of three sets of newborn twins from her home studio in London, with each session lasting up to six hours.

Hats your lot: These twins were less than 14 days old when this picture was taken

She said: “I love to show the tight bond with newborn twins.

“They are so used to sharing such a snug space and when they come out, they still take a lot of comfort in being pressed up close with one another.

“It's such a challenge as a photographer to find ways to posing them so tightly that is still very photogenic, and when it comes together it is very rewarding.

Difficult: Sandi says it's much harder to photograph twins

Sandi said: “It's much harder to photograph twins.

“You run into a lot of scenarios where one is wide awake and the other is sleeping, or one is feeding.

“You need to be very flexible in your approach.

Sibling love: These pictures definitely have the 'aww' factor

“When they are both asleep at the same time you need to work very quickly.

“Also, they may be very different weights, which you need to work into the posing.

“The pictures really are such a keepsake and something to treasure as the twins grow older.

“They are so difficult to capture, but so rewarding when it all comes together.

“There is always an 'aaw' factor with babies, but doubly so with twins. Who can resist?”
