Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla get notice for dengue breeding spots in their houses

The civic authority also inspected Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi's houses but they were found to be in compliance with its guidelines.

Mumbai's civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has served notices to actors Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla and Jitendra after it found several breeding spots for Aedes Aegypti mosquito, responsible for dengue, in their bungalows. Singer Amit Ganguly was also served a notice.

The civic authority also inspected Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi's houses but they were found to be in compliance with its guidelines.

In a similar move, several government buildings in posh south Delhi - starting from the Rashtrapati Bhavan to several government buildings in RK Puram and Munirka were served notices after they were found to be a breeding ground for dengue mosquitoes.

Earlier this month, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) issued VIP challans to JNU hostels, DPS RK Puram, DTC Bus Depot Vasant Vihar, IIT, DJB for mosquito breeding. Also read: Shocking lapses at Rashtrapati Bhawan, key landmarks

Even, the central government-run Safdarjung hospital has been issued 6 challans and 12 notices for breeding dengue-causing mosquitoes.
