Almost 70 years have passed since the Chicago Cubs were hexed with the “Billy Goat” curse, barring them from ever winning a World Series title.
In order to bind the curse off of the Chicago Cubs so they can finally win themselves a chip, six-time Nathan’s Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest champion Takeru Kobayashi, fellow competitive eater L.A. Beast, and two others got together to literally sacrifice a goat.
Together, the four of them ate 40 pounds – FORTY POUNDS – of goat in a single, 12-minute sitting.
Don’t worry, they’re not barbarians, they cooked it first.
Elsewhere, the Cubs got themselves a nice 4-0 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night. Maybe this’ll work.
