Two Lethbridge residents are facing a number of charges after police found a variety of drugs and weapons in a vehicle during a traffic stop in Claresholm, Alberta.

ALERT teams made the arrests on September 17 and seized cocaine, methamphetamine, and pills with an estimated street value of over $15,000 from the vehicle.

A search of the vehicle yielded:

  • 233 grams of crack cocaine
  • 26 grams of powder cocaine
  • 56 grams of methamphetamine
  • 117 illicit prescription pills
  • Various weapons, included replica handgun.

Mark Brown, 45, is facing 12 drug and weapons related charges.

Rose Long Time Squirrel, 45, was the passenger in the vehicle and is charged with possession of crack cocaine.

Police say the investigation started in August after ALERT received information about Brown’s suspected drug trafficking activities.

Brown and Long Time Squirrel have been released from custody and are next expected in court on October 2 and 16, respectively.

Anyone with information about drug activity in their community is asked to contact police, or can do so anonymously with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
